The King of Kings in standup comedy was on ComedyCentral last night, uncut.
Very nice, but I had some issues...
} Was it necessary to have so many goddam commercials?!
In comedy, timing is very important and although CC made a good effort putting the brakes in the right spot, each one managed to piss me off as much as the one before.
} Was it necessary to run a spot for the KKK of comedy, every fricken break?!
Hey, I'm no racist, I hate and fear everyone I don’t know equally and with no effort. So maybe my equating the Blue Collar Comedy group with the Klan was as bit harsh but fuck it, I did it anyway, its my blog and I just started a sentence with the word so, too.
My point is, what where they thinking?
Did CC feel a black comic needed to be balanced by white comics.
Is that where political correctness has taken us?
If so, then I rejoice because the end of political correctness is near. When PC has crossed the line from blindness of race, gender, age, etc and is now tracking and tabulating those things so that our viewing experience is balanced. Then Political Correctness has become racist. It has gone full circle and become the very thing from which it was born.
Ok, enough soap box. See you tomorrow as we suck from the boob tube of corporate America and drink the milk of ignorance...
oh yah, "and chicken wings, fool!"
Man, I need a drink.
