Pass Health Care Reform!!

STOP STUPAK!!

When it passed a historic health care reform bill, the House also adopted the Stupak amendment, a dangerous piece of legislation that would ban abortion from private and public insurance plans for millions of American women. Fortunately, the fight for women's health didn't end in the House, and our sharp focus is now on the Senate.

The Senate bill introduced by Senate Majority Leader Reid does not include language similar to the Stupak ban. Now we need the Senate's strong support to defeat any and all amendments to the Senate bill that would impose additional restrictions on women's access to reproductive health care.

President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Reid, and Speaker Pelosi have the power to put a stop to the discriminatory Stupak ban — and it's up to us to help them do it. Fill out the form below to sign our petition and join the millions of Americans who are speaking out to protect women's health and the right to choose.ws_banner_HCRStopStupak_970x80

We need your help. We are making our final push to make sure that the anti-choice Stupak amendment to the health care reform bill that passed the House of Representatives doesn't make it into the next round in the Senate. If we fail and the Stupak ban becomes law, it will be a huge step backward for women, resulting in the most severe restriction of access to abortion coverage in a generation, effectively banning private insurance coverage of abortion for millions of women.

Dear Mr. President

I understand how difficult it must be to effect change in our country, and I for one would NOT fault you for not succeeding in some promises.

On the other hand, should you fail to protect the rights we cherish, gotten through years of struggle and sacrifice from many people,ReformHelpWomen including leaders for change like yourself, that Mr. President, would be unforgivable.

Please don't sacrifice women's health for change.

Thank you,
