US Plans Nuclear Attack

US Plans Nuclear Attack on Iran
Washington, (PL) The George W. Bush government plans to attack Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, even using atomic bombs, "The New Yorker" magazine published in the issue that will come out Monday.
A source quoted by the weekly said that the Pentagon's plans are "huge, feverish and operational," and are clearly aimed at changing the power structure in that country through war.
According to the article, written by journalist Seymour Hersh, Bush and other leaders of the Republican government have described Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a potential Adolph Hitler.
In March, the White House re-launched its controversial doctrine of pre-emptive attacks, according to which the United States has the right to bomb and invade a country without being previously attacked.
The concept was reactivated in the new version of the National Security Strategy, a document that identifies Iran as Washington's main adversary.
In a recent interview with Prensa Latina, US prominent political scientist James Petras predicted an overwhelming defeat for the United States in Iran if Washington dares to attack that country as it did in Iraq in March 2003.
"Iran will be the gravedigger of imperialism, there is no doubt about it, I'm not exaggerating, the United States doesn't have conditions to control that nation or to limit the consequences of such act," said the US academic.
